Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HSM Jobs at https://www.hsmjob.com (“Platform”), operated by Ebenezer Kwame Afful (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. What HSM Jobs provides
HSM Jobs is a job discovery and career support platform designed for internationally-educated professionals targeting Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) roles in the Netherlands. The Platform provides:
- Aggregated job listings cross-referenced against the IND public register of recognised sponsors
- Job alert emails delivered at a frequency you choose
- AI-assisted career tools including CV analysis, cover letter generation, and interview coaching
- An Ecosystem Navigator for evaluating self-employment and side-project viability under HSM status
- Salary information and IND permit guidance based on publicly available official sources
The Platform is an information and discovery tool only. We are not a recruitment agency and we are not party to any employment relationship.
2. Eligibility & account
You may use the Platform if you are at least 18 years old and can form a legally binding contract under applicable law.
The Platform is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will suspend and delete their account and any associated personal data without notice. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at legal@hsmjob.com.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@hsmjob.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent, or use automated means to create accounts.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Dutch or EU law
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract job data or sponsor information from the Platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, spam, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Misrepresent your identity or qualifications when using AI career tools
- Resell or sublicense access to the Platform without our written permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.
4. Job listings — accuracy disclaimer
Job listings on HSM Jobs are aggregated from multiple third-party sources (Adzuna, LinkedIn, JSearch, IamExpat, EnglishJobSearch, Undutchables, and direct sponsor career pages). We also maintain our own database of sponsor-network listings.
While we make reasonable efforts to ensure listings are current and accurate, we do not guarantee:
- That any listed role is still open at the time you view it
- The completeness or accuracy of salary information
- That a company shown as an IND-recognised sponsor retains that status at the time of your application
- That a role will lead to a successful visa sponsorship outcome
Always verify sponsor status directly via the IND public register before submitting an application.
5. AI career tools
Our AI tools (CV Analyzer, Cover Letter Generator, Interview Coach, Ecosystem Navigator) use large language models provided by Anthropic and OpenAI. Outputs are generated automatically and are intended as a starting point, not professional legal, immigration, or career advice.
- Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary for the analysis
- Do not treat AI-generated scores or recommendations as definitive assessments of your candidacy
- Visa and permit assessments must be verified with a qualified immigration lawyer or the IND directly
You retain ownership of content you input into AI tools. We do not store your CV or LinkedIn text beyond the duration of the API call.
6. Job alerts
Job alert emails are sent based on the filters you configure. By setting up an alert you consent to receiving these emails at the frequency you choose (daily or weekly).
You can pause, modify, or delete any alert at any time via https://www.hsmjob.com/tools/alerts or by clicking “Manage your alerts” in any alert email.
Alert emails are informational only. We do not guarantee that every matching job will be included in every digest, as availability depends on third-party data freshness.
7. Intellectual property
All original content on the Platform — including the design, branding, platform code, AI prompt architecture, and original written content — is owned by Ebenezer Kwame Afful and protected under applicable copyright law.
Job listing content (titles, descriptions, salaries) belongs to the respective employers and source platforms. IND sponsor data is derived from publicly available government records.
You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute Platform content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Dutch law, HSM Jobs and Ebenezer Kwame Afful shall not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on job listings, salary data, or AI-generated content
- Any visa or immigration outcome, successful or otherwise
- Loss of data, business, revenue, or opportunity arising from Platform downtime or errors
- Actions of third-party employers, recruiters, or platforms linked from our site
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed €100 or the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by mandatory Dutch consumer law.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Changes to the service & these Terms
We may modify or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

12. Digital Services Act (DSA)
HSM Jobs operates as an online platform within the European Union and is subject to Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 — the Digital Services Act (DSA). As a micro-enterprise (fewer than 50 employees and under €10 million annual turnover), most of the DSA's heavier obligations do not apply, but we remain committed to the DSA's core principles:
- Users may report illegal content or suspicious listings at legal@hsmjob.com
- We will respond to valid DSA notices and competent authority requests
- Our designated point of contact for EU authorities is legal@hsmjob.com
